Memorable Moments
In June 2008, while Quebec City was celebrating its 400
th
anniversary, over 700 people came from across Canada to attend
the 21st edition of the PSMW. An unprecedented success, the
workshop included high profile speakers, original activities and an
outstanding Gala evening that delighted participants.

Gamache, with Roland Letarte at
PD Week 1997 in Ottawa. Co-founder
of the Quebec Chapter, Mr. Letarte
served as its President (1990-1992),
while Mr. Gamache served as Quebec’s
Chapter President (1992-1994).

igf Atlantic received its charter
in 1988. Gary Doucette, who worked at ACOA (Moncton)
at the time, was the founding President. Other founding
leaders included Marilyn MacPherson from Veteran’s
Affairs (PEI), Peter Estey from DND (Halifax), Earl Milbury,
ACOA (Halifax), and Kevin Stacey, ACOA (NFLD). Within
the next 2 years, the Moncton Chapter was formed,
followed by Fredericton, Newfoundland, Halifax and
Charlottetown.
The Quebec Chapter was officially
established in 1988 and holds its first
lunch conference on December 1st of
the same year.
