CHAPTER NEWS
On September 12th, the Fredericton Chapter hosted a very
successful Annual General Meeting and luncheon with over 80
members in attendance. The Province’s Minister of Finance, Hon.
Blaine Higgs, discussed the provincial implications of the federal
government’s plans to balance the federal budget by 2015.
During the event, Chapter President, Peter Wolters awarded
Shawn Johnson, current Secretary-Treasurer for the fmi

igf
National Board, with the Past President Appreciation Award for
his service as Chapter President for three years from 2010 to 2013.
Peter also took the opportunity to recognize nineteen individuals
who have been members of the Fredericton Chapter for at least ten
years:

After the success of the Chapter’s October 16th event with Shawn
Murphy who spoke on “The Role of Parliament as it Relates to
the Approval and Oversight of Government Expenditures,” the
Chapter is finalizing its 2013-2014 PD program. Suggestions on
topics and aligning speakers are welcome and may be sent to fmi@
