As we wrap up year –end and gear up
for PD Week 2013, FMI National
Office is steam rolling ahead on
various new and steadfast initiatives
as outlined and approved by the
2013-2014 Board of Directors, led
by President, Marcel Boulianne.
National Office welcomed André
LaFlamme in the position of
Program Administration Officer.
André comes to FMI from Discourse
Magazine and MADD Canada and
has jumped into FMI’s social media
agenda, organizing the webinar
program, and developing PD Week’s mobile site. National also
welcomed Roger Keen to the role of Editor of the fmi

igf Journal.
As a resident of Ottawa, Roger’s visits to the office have made the
transition seamless.
Managing Director, Don Singer along with Marcel Boulianne
has had several meetings with Finance Canada to discuss
“Blueprint 2020” and with the Office of the Comptroller General
to strengthen FMI’s current and future working relationship.
We need you!! FMI National is looking for volunteers.
Several volunteer positions in areas such as social media, website
coordination, sponsor relations, and the journal have been posted
to the new “Volunteer Corner” of the fmi

igf website. Follow the
“Volunteer” tab on the fmi.ca homepage.
It is membership time again and you will have undoubtedly
received news from your local Chapter to renew your membership.
Keep in mind, one member from each Chapter will be eligible to
win a registration/travel package to PSMW 2014 Charlottetown
in May 2014.

activities. For those out-of-town attendees, a block of rooms has
been secured at the nearby Les Suites Hotel and discounts on air
fare have been obtained through both Porter Airlines (for 15%)
and Air Canada (for 10%.) See you in Ottawa for PD Week 2013.
